Customer Relations Employee in our most colorful department: Roy’s Story at Color Solutions
In his twenties, Roy began his career at a lamp importer, after which he spent six months a year traveling around Asia for major chemical companies. “Fun,” he says, “but very hectic and impossible to combine with a family.” Seeking calmer waters, he ended up working in the office of our then-Pigments department.
When asked what makes his job so interesting, he enthusiastically replies, “The international aspect of it, contact with European and Asian colleagues and foreign clients—that’s something I’ve always really enjoyed.” It’s clear that Roy thrives in the international team at Color Solutions. “Working in the team is simply great fun,” he says, “and Profiltra is a true family business, where the social aspect is very important. They organize fun team events and company outings year-round, so in short, I really like it here.”
When asked about the most important skills for his role, Roy replies: “In my job, you need to be able to speak English and German fluently, be willing to contribute your own input, have a commercial sense, and if you also have some understanding of logistics processes, that’s a plus.” He emphasizes that there’s still much to learn in his role and that a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is crucial.
The international character, the close collaboration and the family feeling make his workplace not only a pleasant professional environment but also a place where he enjoys going to work every day.
